"The Dance"

Our malleable forms melting into one,
Your body the rivers, my body the sun.

Infinite bliss I savored that night.
Eros himself would have quaked at the sight.

I tasted your breath, I drank in your mind.
The sound of your voice was ungodly divine.

Our rhythmic momentum, cataclysmic, 'twas true.
Of all the fair ladies, none noticed but you.

Your gown purely white, as an angel's above.
Your eyes jeweled enchantments of heavenly love.

I ask you now, in the midst of all this,
For something quite simple-merely a kiss.

I wonder what will come of this romance?
A boy and a girl who near-kissed at the dance.
